Each person will design a pamphlet for this that informs someone about the Solvay Process. Details about the Solvay Process Assignment: Answer the questions from the handout on the Solvay Process. Please put these answers on looseleaf. Use this information to make a colourful and creative pamphlet theat informs someone about what the solvay process is all about. Things you might include might be a history or background, what it is , what it makes ie: products and byproducts, what the reaction is, and so on. Please include references. You were grouped in to groups during the last part of class to display your solutions to the five stoichiometry questions. I assigned p 229 15 to 21 On the thursday before labs you were assigned #8 from the Gravimetric Stoichiometry Worksheet. The answers will be checked for this. We compared the following ionic, molecular, dispersion forces like dipole, dispersion and hydrogen bonds.and polar versus non polar bond using table 8.3 on p 238)) and you completed your group work on stoichiometry. Each group was given some shapes to do on large paper. You received the study sheet and the assignment for passing in on the day of the test was explained. Today we will look at 10.2 Avogadros Hypothesis, STP, the mole road map, molar volume, gas (mol/mol) stoichiometry, and 13.1 more kinetic theory, We Did B 1,2 from the handout and p 301 20a and 21a as well as p 303 #26, 27. I had you copy down the ideal gas law at two sets of conditions and try Part C on the handout #10.

Today we finished going over the ideal gas law at two sets of conditions. We will look at how the ideal gas law at two sets of conditions can be used to derive the laws that you went over...Boyle's, Charles, Gay-Lussav and The Combined Gas Law. There are a few good questions in the C section of the handout. Please do C 1,2,5,7 from the long blue(white) sheet. There is some additional practise for firday's test on p 301 do #20b) 21b) p 426. do 20-22 and Do 23, 24 p 429 #25 to 30
